Italian Beef

Okay so I had to make this the first post to my brand new blog because this recipe is really the reason I wanted to make it! I have sooo many people asking for the recipe. This recipe is so good & your house will smell absolutely wonderful when you are making it. I will have to update later with how to instructions but here is a pic of my finished "creation". I originally got the recipe off of one of my absolute fav websites.... http://www.pioneerwoman.com/ and then revised to Jenn Creation specifications. Here is the recipe to my best version.....

Italian Beef Jenn Creation Way

English Roast

1 packet Italian Dressing Seasoning

1 small jar banana peppers (with juice)

1 can beef broth

1 can beef consumme

(instead of the broth & consumme I have used 1 packet beef gravy (dry mix) with some water and a can of beef gravy)

Big Thick Real Crusty French Bread

Butter

12 slices Havarti (or swiss, mozzarella, pepperjack or whatev you desire)

10 hours before you would like to eat put roast in crockpot with next 4 ingredients. After 10 hours cooking on low- take forks & trim fat off while shredding beef in juice.

Cut french bread in 1/2 longways. Make 8 , 10 or 12 little sections of bread depending on size of sandwich you would like.

Turn Broiler on.

Butter bread.

Put on baking sheet.

Put under broiler for about 3 min til bread starts to brown. Take out & use a slotted spoon to take beef out of crockpot & fill each bread with meat.

Place 1-2 slices of cheese on each sandwich.

Put back in under the broiler for about 2 minutes until cheese is melted.

Serve to hungry folk with sides of extra juice to dip in!
